20th August, 2010 : Rain or Shine, Konkani Rocks with Lorna



1. 3:00pm- There will be “THE BLIND HERITAGE WALK” for the blind on the Heritage Streets of Campal Goa followed by the Opening of their photography exhibition at Kala Academy at 4:00pm. This will be conducted by Beyond Sight Foundation Mumbai and National awardee, Karmaveer Partho Ganguly who is acclaimed on the subject of Blind Photography.

Beyond Sight is an exhibition of photographs taken by photographers with varying degrees of visual impairment, ranging from partial to total blindness. Various touch, audio clues, memories of sight, warmth of light and intuitive abilities are used by the visually impaired to create mental images before they judge to take a picture. They use the camera as an extension of ‘self’ to explore the visual world, and gain deeper insight while recording their imagination and point-of-view.

2. 5:00pm -Announcement of prizes of the You Tube Festival “Goa the Diamond of India’s Crown”

6.00 p.m. The famous, one and only Lorna, Goa’s, stunning Nightingale will perform with her brass band.


4. 8:00pm- onwards there will be a tiatr “Tthikann”which means Destination directed by Mr.Christopher Menezes also known as Com 64.
